Set out on an adventure through the exuberant rainforest and cascades of the Cinchona and Río Cuarto area of Alajuela. This one-day tour takes you to some of Costa Rica's most impressive landscapes, from majestic waterfalls to natural trails brimming with wildlife. The day begins with a scenic drive from San José, passing coffee plantations and picturesque villages, before reaching the first stop at the La Paz Waterfalls.
From there you travel to the San Fernando Lookout, where you sample a natural drink paired with a typical local snack, then continue to the Tesoro Escondido waterfalls, a paradise for nature lovers. Here you hike the reserve's trails, reach the Mano del Mantra viewpoint overlooking the surrounding mountains, swim in natural pools, and watch for tropical birds and other wildlife before returning to San José in the evening.
